Definition of Descriptive Text
A descriptive text is a text which describes a person, place, thing, or animal in detail so the reader/listener can imagine it clearly.

Purpose: To describe a particular person, place, or thing.

Generic Structure:

Identification → introduces the subject (who/what is being described).

Description → provides details (physical appearance, achievements, personality, etc.)
Language Features

Adjectives: tall, strong, fast, talented, dedicated, famous, popular, etc.

Adverbs: quickly, skillfully, successfully, gracefully, powerfully, etc.

Simple Present Tense: often used (e.g., “He plays basketball.” / “She trains every day.”).

Linking verbs: is, are, has, have, looks, seems.

Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most famous football players in the world. He was born in Portugal in 1985. He plays as a forward and is known for his incredible speed and powerful shots.
Ronaldo is tall, athletic, and very strong. He trains hard every day and always shows great discipline. He has won many awards, including the Ballon d’Or several times. His fans admire him not only for his talent but also for his determination and dedication to football.
