Verbal (Action Verb)

Simple Present

V1 / V1+s (he/she/it)

- He plays football every weekend. - They train hard before the match.

am/is/are + noun/adj

- She is a talented athlete. - The match is very exciting.

Simple PastV2

- He won the race yesterday. - They trained hard last week.

was/were + noun/adj

- She was the best player in the tournament. - The stadium was full of fans.

Simple Future


will/shall + V1 be going to + V1


- He will play in the final tomorrow. - They are going to join the competition next month.



will be + noun/adj is/are going to be + noun/adj


- She will be the captain of the team. - The match is going to be interesting.

  • Simple Present → Fakta umum, kebiasaan, rutinitas.

  • Simple Past → Kejadian yang sudah berlalu.

  • Simple Future → Prediksi, rencana, atau sesuatu yang akan datang.

Verbal Sentence

1. Simple Present (menceritakan rutinitas/kejadian umum)

The athlete plays football every Saturday.
He usually scores many goals.
The stadium is always full of fans.

👉 Keterangan: Dipakai untuk kebiasaan atau fakta umum.

2. Simple Past (menceritakan jalannya pertandingan yang sudah selesai)

Yesterday, the athlete played in the final match.
He scored two goals and won the game.
The stadium was full of cheering supporters.

👉 Keterangan: Dipakai untuk menceritakan kejadian yang sudah lewat.

3. Simple Future (menceritakan rencana atau prediksi jalannya pertandingan)

Tomorrow, the athlete will play in the championship.
He will try to score again.
The match is going to be very exciting.

👉 Keterangan: Dipakai untuk membicarakan pertandingan yang akan datang.

 Dengan pola ini, kita bisa langsung melihat:

  • Present = kebiasaan / fakta → "plays"

  • Past = kejadian yang sudah selesai → "played"

  • Future = rencana / prediksi → "will play"


apa itu Non-Verbal Sentence?

  • Non-verbal = kalimat yang tidak menggunakan kata kerja aksi (action verb), melainkan menggunakan kata kerja bantu “to be” (am, is, are, was, were, will be) + noun/adjective/adverb.

  • Jadi kalimatnya biasanya berupa deskripsi keadaan, identitas, atau sifat, bukan aktivitas.


1. Simple Present

The athlete is very strong.
The match is important for the team.

2. Simple Past

The athlete was very tired after the game.
The stadium was full of fans.

3. Simple Future

The athlete will be famous after this tournament.
The match is going to be the biggest event of the year.

👉 Jadi bedanya:

  • Present → keadaan sekarang (is/are).

  • Past → keadaan lampau (was/were).

  • Future → keadaan yang akan datang (will be / is going to be).

Simple Future will be / is going to be + noun/adj - She will be the captain. - The match is going to be amazing. Dia akan menjadi kapten. Pertandingan itu akan luar biasa.

 A. Apa itu Adverb? Adverb adalah kata keterangan yang memberikan informasi lebih tentang kata kerja (verb), kata sifat (adjective), kata keterangan lain (adverb), atau seluruh kalimat. Definition of Descriptive Text A descriptive text is a text which describes a person, place, thing, or animal in detail so the reader/listener can imagine it clearly.
