Procedural text adalah teks yang berisi langkah-langkah untuk melakukan atau membuat sesuatu. Teks ini membantu pembaca memahami bagaimana melakukan suatu tugas dengan urutan yang jelas.
Struktur Procedural Text
Goal (Tujuan)
- Menjelaskan tujuan atau hasil akhir yang ingin dicapai.
- Biasanya ditulis dalam bentuk judul.
- Contoh: "How to Make a Paper Airplane"
Materials/Ingredients (Bahan/Alat yang Dibutuhkan)
- Bagian ini mencantumkan alat atau bahan yang diperlukan.
- "Materials" digunakan jika yang dibutuhkan adalah benda (misalnya gunting, kertas, lem).
- "Ingredients" digunakan jika yang dibutuhkan adalah bahan makanan.
- Contoh:
- Materials: A piece of paper
- Ingredients: 2 eggs, 100 grams of flour
Steps (Langkah-langkah)
- Berisi langkah-langkah yang harus dilakukan secara berurutan.
- Menggunakan kalimat perintah (imperative sentences), seperti Fold the paper..., Mix the flour...
- Menggunakan kata penghubung (sequence words), seperti First, Next, Then, Finally.
